Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Create and implement a national framework and strategic plan to establish a top logistics and freight forwarding provider for the pharma and healthcare sectors in China and Hong Kong.
  • Align and execute the global pharma and healthcare vertical strategy at the national level, ensuring it is consistent with international goals.
  • Identify and leverage market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the pharma and healthcare industry.

Sales and Business Development

  • Drive focused sales efforts to acquire and develop high-value, high-volume customers within the pharma and healthcare sector.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through proactive market research, networking, and effective relationship management.
  • Lead and coordinate major Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and inquiries, ensuring that proposals are competitive and persuasive.
  • Collaborate with global and regional sales teams to align on customer needs and provide seamless solutions.

Operational Excellence

  • Take a proactive role in operational implementation, ensuring smooth onboarding and execution of new business initiatives.
  • Develop and implement best practices, concepts, and showcases to assist local branches in building expertise and establishing a strong regional presence.
  • Support the creation of a qualified supplier base in China, ensuring adherence to pharma and healthcare industry standards.

Collaboration

  • Provide regular updates on business development progress, challenges, and opportunities to management in China and global stakeholders.
  • Promote strong collaboration with overseas counterparts and global sales teams to ensure alignment and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.


 Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the freight forwarding and logistics industry, preferably with multinational companies.
  • At least 5 years of dedicated experience in the pharma and healthcare sector, with a comprehensive understanding of its unique requirements, regulations, and challenges.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sales, vertical management, and operational key account management.
  • Extensive knowledge of international trade processes, customs regulations, and local compliance requirements in China.
  • A sales-driven mindset with a strong emphasis on achieving and surpassing targets.
  • A customer-centric approach, capable of anticipating and effectively addressing customer needs.
  • An operational awareness that balances strategic vision with practical execution.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global team.
